Employee Profile: Tracy Goodman
Meet Tracy Goodman, Personal Insurance Specialist at Webber and Grinnell.
Although she has worked in the insurance industry for just six years, Tracy has made a tremendous impact. Western MA Women’s Magazine recently recognized her as one of the area’s Top 25 Women to Watch, bestowing on her the award of Top Woman in Insurance.
After graduating from the University of Delaware and beginning a career in human resources, Tracy took a break to be home with her two daughters. She became an active volunteer in the Longmeadow community, where she has lived with her family for 16 years, and began a closet design and organization business with a friend.
When Tracy returned to full time work selling voluntary benefit policies for AFLAC insurance, she truly found her niche. “At first I didn’t think sales were for me,” she said. “But I came to love the challenge, and the gratification of meeting my goals.” She went on to win numerous awards for her impressive achievements as a newcomer in the industry.
Always ready for a new challenge, Tracy joined Webber and Grinnell’s personal insurance team in 2012. She became licensed to sell home and automobile insurance policies to complement her experience as a voluntary benefits agent. She assists individual clients and also works with business owners to accommodate the personal insurance needs of their employees.
Key to Tracy’s success is a passion for educating her clients. “There’s no cookie cutter approach in this industry,” she said. “I want to make sure my clients understand their coverage options. First and foremost, I am here to educate them.”
In her spare time, Tracy is learning how to play golf. A New Jersey native, she enjoys visiting family there and loves going to see Broadway shows in New York City.
